History

Founded in 1969, Lippincott Jacobs Consulting Engineers (LJCE) started by offering civil engineering services. By 1970, LJCE expanded to include structural design and drilling services, as well as penetration into the dam market.

After building a successful geotechnical, civil and structural firm, LJCE refocused its mission to add additional services offerings including a material testing laboratory and inspection division, surveying services, environmental and geo-environmental services, additional civil services, and more extensive drilling capabilities.

In 1987, the firm moved from Delanco to the historic Watchcase building in Riverside, NJ. A new emphasis was placed on the commercial and residential markets. LJCE targeted a national client base and focused on civil infrastructure including dams, bridges, waterfront structures and bulkhead. George Timchal joined the company and assumed ownership in 2009. Today, LJCE enjoys continued success in the expansion of our Client base through dedication to its customers and individual attention to their needs.
